Where will my session take place? Whether we’re doing individual portraits or family photos, we’ll pick an ideal spot that will showcase the most authentic version of you. We’ll talk through the type of setting that best defines you and your family. Are you nature lovers? We’ll find the perfect park. Beach bums? Let’s do it! A bit edgy? A cool urban setting will be perfect. I’m also happy to come to your home and capture a day in the life of your family. Whatever the reason for your photoshoot, we’ll work closely together to make every detail perfect.
How long will my session last? We’ll spend up to 90 minutes together while we have fun, laugh, and tell stories. I want you to be as comfortable as possible, so I can be sure to capture the true essence of you & your family. We won’t leave until I know that I’ve photographed everything I need to make your pictures sing with delightful whimsy, inherent joy and delicious authenticity.
When will I get to see my images? Approximately 2 weeks after our session, I will send you a link to your online gallery where you will see the very best images from your session. The gallery will contain 25-35 hand picked images that have been professionally edited by me. It will remain open for viewing for 14 days, at which time your order is due. I will be available help you talk through any options and can help you determine which products or collections will best fit your needs. And I absolutely LOVE doing in person ordering sessions, so if you are someone who wants a little extra love and care, I’m happy to offer this service at no extra charge. I will come to your home where we can look at walls, measure, and do whatever else we might need to determine the very best way to show off your images!

I have been putting off photos because I feel really uncomfortable in front of the camera. Will you help to put me at ease? Yes! My entire approach to photography is based around creating authentic REAL images. Trust me. I get it. Most of us feel self conscious in front of the camera. But you owe it to yourself to EXIST in pictures. You are that important. And I take that seriously. My goal during our time together will be to make you forget you are getting your picture taken. While I don’t do stiff poses, I will definitely help you figure out how to stand and where to look. I’ll lead you through every step. We’ll talk and laugh and play a few games. You might even tell me when we’re all done that you actually had fun. When that happens, I’ll know I’ve succeeded.
My kids can be sort of crazy, I’m worried you won’t get any good pictures? Did you see that part above where I said we’ll play games and laugh and have a good time? What happens to you when you see your child laugh? You know the laugh I mean, that big belly laugh that makes you melt inside whether your kid is 2 or 12 or 20. That’s the laugh we’ll capture. A tangible memory that your heart will never forget.
My husband needs a business headshot, but I’d also like some family photos, can you do that? We sure can. We’ll discuss all your needs and wants during our pre-session consultation. We will chat via phone, over coffee (on me!) or in your home. We’ll discuss all the details of your portrait session, including location, what to wear, what to expect and how to come to the session stress free.
